Waka Huia

A proud son of Ngāti Manawa, war veteran Richard Dargaville, once a soldier for the New Zealand Army, he remains forever a soldier for te ao Māori. His service reflects not just commitment to a nation, but a deep dedication to whakapapa, identity, and the ongoing struggles and strengths of his whānau and wider Māori communities. (R)
