Masha and Valentyna

Two courageous Ukrainian women, Mariia (Masha) Parfeniuk (17) and Valentyna Merzhyievska (41), find safe haven in Poland after the full scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, 24 February 2022. When the war drags on, both women have to decide whether to stay in Poland or return to Ukraine. Using their mobile phones to become frontline eyewitnesses, Masha and Valentyna record the tragic turn in their lives with great honesty, humour and warmth.
