Dean wants to go where his Dad never went - New Caledonia - but the wind abandons Barefoot on the long crossing from the Coral Sea. It's a slow but spectacular journey, until the engine explodes and Dean is under pressure to fix it, as fuel runs low. A quick stop in Noumea for fuel and supplies means the crew are free to begin exploring the Loyalty Islands. First up, the sights, sounds and sea turtles of Mare Island.
