Paul Vitti is a New York gangster who, after assuming the role of leader of his crime family, suddenly experiences inner conflicts. Even his henchmen become anxious about his sudden change. Vitti decides to seek help from the only psychiatrist he's ever heard of, Ben Sobol, and demands to be cured, immediately. Meanwhile, Ben has problems of his own, problems that refuse to go away!
