Canada's National Parks

Cape Breton Highlands National Park is located in the north of Canada's Atlantic province of Nova Scotia. The park's diverse landscape stretches from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the Atlantic Ocean. Established in 1936, it covers an area of 1000 square km and protects tundra-like areas, dense forests, plateaus, but also river valleys, lakes and rugged coastlines.
