In a lawless desert territory, Lauren and Rachel assemble a team to continue Arthur Wilde's climate-fighting bacteria research. Rachel is shocked when Magie Mitchell joins them. They test the bacteria-infused water on five guinea pigs. Just as testing begins, a sandstorm brings an unconscious stranger to their isolated base. When he awakens, murders begin, and the nightmare returns.
