Inspector Fabbri and his new pal, Rex, are collaborating with Inspector Hedl of the Austrian police to solve a multiple-murders case involving Italian and Austrian citizens. The victims are all members of a gang of thieves on a crime spree. Rex discovers the clues that lead Fabbri to the killer - but when they realise his identity, they also realise that Inspector Hedl's life is in grave danger.
