Lucia, a medical doctor, moves with her family to the mountain village of Rotten, her husband Matthi's hometown. Her daughter suffers from severe asthma and the mountain air is supposed to alleviate Alma's illness. But the new start is bumpy: neighbor Aurelia gives the family a strange welcome and Lucia needs to warm up to her in-laws.
