Impossible Engineering

The Pioneering Spirit is a behemoth of the shipping world. It is built for single lift installation and removal of large offshore oil and gas platforms, and the installation of subsea oil and gas pipelines. It's the largest vessel of its kind on the planet. At 382 metres long and 124 metres wide, it is the size of two super tankers, has a deck area of eight football pitches, and built to operate in the harshest waters on the planet, at unprecedented speeds.
