From Venus with Love
Astronomer Cosgrove, observing the planet Venus, concentrates so much that he does not notice a nearby glass of beer begin to bubble furiously. A strange high-pitched sound is heard, then there's a blinding flash of light which leaves Cosgrove lifeless on the floor, his hair bleached white as snow.
