Great Falls To Big Horn Canyon
This journey begins at Great Falls on the Missouri River, which was built in the late 19th century and utilised the river to power the town. We then follow the river east to the Missouri Breaks, a landscape of rugged rock outcrops, which have created countless deep cuts, known locally as 'breaks'. The landscape of Montana is incredibly varied and on the banks of the Yellowstone River is Makoshika State Park and its strange rock formations.
