When the wealthy and matronly owner of a magnificent hotel is found naked and murdered with injections of Botox in her bathtub, Detectives Goren and Eames focus on the victim's unstable adult daughter who resented her mother's meddling in her love life. While the cops' investigation also snares a makeup artist who dabbles in Botox, they find they need one more missing link to make their case - and subsequently look to the dysfunctional family for more clues.
